Hi. Please see the 2 photos above. This newsletter is
from Sept. 2002. It shows our Sassy who was one of 24 "van
cats." She was very shy and hiding on the top shelf in the
thrift store the day we adopted her. We don't know how old
she was when adopted, but we had her for 14 years. She
passed away Sept. 26. What a wonderful cat! As you
can see she has beautiful eyes. The vet commented that her
eyes look like the ocean: aqua blue/green. And she
looked like she was wearing mascara. Sassy was always shy
around strangers, but started coming out of her shell the past
few years, surprising my brother last month when he made his
annual visit, by jumping up on his lap! She loved our
laps. As soon as we sat down, there she was, ready to jump
up, curl up and sleep. She was a great addition to our
family, bringing love and joy to our lives. Thank you for
all the wonderful work you do to rescue and find homes for dogs
& cats.
